Patrick J. Sheehy serves as President of the Tennessee Business Roundtable (TBR).  As the Roundtable’s chief staff executive since July 2016, Pat provides strategic direction and leadership for all organizational functions, including advocacy, communications, membership engagement, administration, and organizational development.

Pat’s prior work includes over twelve years at Lebanon, Tennessee-based Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., where he served as Senior Director of Public Affairs and head of the company’s Government Relations department. 

Advocating for Cracker Barrel’s policy interests before federal, state, and local governments, Pat also led the company’s political action committee, managed its 40-plus trade association relationships, and contributed to Cracker Barrel’s corporate social responsibility, philanthropic and issues-management efforts.  Prior to joining Cracker Barrel in 2003, Pat served as Manager of State Legislative Affairs for the National Restaurant Association after beginning his career in 1993 on Capitol Hill in the Washington, D.C. office of former U.S. Representative Tom Petri, where he served as a Legislative Assistant, Legislative Correspondent, and congressional caseworker.

Pat is a 1993 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Political Science, was named a 1993 Juris Veidemanis Outstanding Senior in International Studies, and was a 2000 recipient of the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Association’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association and the National Council of Chain Restaurants and serves on the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of Tennessee.  Pat, his wife Missy, and their four children reside in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
