March 7, 2022
WASHINGTON, DC – State Business Executives (SBE) today announced a new series around its key policy pillars and workstreams for early 2022. The series will focus on our nation’s workforce; business sustainability, roles and opportunities; immigration; infrastructure; and diversity, equity, and inclusion. SBE and its powerful Board of Directors continues to grow its programmatic work highlighting the powerful role state executives wield in aligning, partnering, and collaborating with our key partners in academia, business, community, and government (A, B, C, G).
Board Chair Justin Yancy, President of the Texas Business Leadership Council said, “I am excited for the kickoff of the State Business Executives’ State Solutions Series this February. Building on our mission to address key national issues by leveraging what is working in our states, these webinars are being developed to advance discussions, and solutions, for the benefit of our country. The February panel on workforce challenges couldn’t be more timely and should not be missed.”
The first panel is scheduled for February 24th at 2:30pm EST and will focus on state solutions for today’s workforce challenges. Panelists include:
- Amanda Winters, National Governors Association Program Director
- Stuart Andreason, Center for Workforce & Economic Opportunity Director with the Federal Reserve
- Kim Gregorie, JPMorgan Chase & Co. Head of Talent Development Career Experience & Business Management
- Matt Sigelman, President of The Burning Glass Institute
“Our new series will highlight the powerful role state leaders possess in helping generate positive solutions for some of our nation’s biggest challenges,” declared Jeff Wasden, President & CEO of State Business Executives. “Business is faced with numerous challenges and many business owners, leaders, and workers feel the issues are too large or distant for them to have any direct or positive impact. We understand the power multi-sector, multi-state leadership can exert in addressing many of these issues! State Solutions for Today’s Workforce Challenges, our first in the series, is a prime example not only of the talented and respected national leaders we will convene, but how states and businesses are leading on these issues,” stated Wasden.
