Jeff Wasden serves as President & CEO of State Business Executives. State Business Executives harnesses the tremendous leadership of state leaders from across diverse sectors to work on some of our nation’s biggest challenges. In bringing together multi-sector leadership from trade associations, business groups, chambers of commerce and industry leaders, Wasden continues to understand the power of collaborative leadership to amplify our collective business voice, strengths, and resources.

Prior to becoming President and CEO of State Business Executives, Wasden served as President of the Colorado Business Roundtable. While President of Colorado Business Roundtable, Jeff helped build one of Colorado’s premier business organizations, advocating on behalf of corporate America and leading policy roundtables, initiatives, convenings, conferences, policy discussion and debates. Wasden, along with the Governor implemented the first Governor’s Business Roundtable that convened leaders from across the state to meet actively with the Governor and discuss ways to improve the business climate and our overall competitiveness.

Jeff also served on the national board for the National Small Business Association, the statewide steering committee for United States Global Leadership Coalition, South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce Board, the VITAL for Colorado Board, the Utilities Commission Board appointed by the Governor, and the Littleton Firefighters Foundation Board. In addition to his Board roles, he chaired the public policy committees Business Leaders for Responsible Government and the Legislative Action Committee.

Jeff is a Colorado native and received his master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Educational Leadership. He spent sixteen years in the classroom and was hired as an administrator with Littleton Public Schools. He is active in his community, having been elected five (5) different terms as a member and as Board President of Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) for ten years while helping create the Community Scholarship Foundation, the Cultural Affairs Foundation, Team Highlands Ranch, and other strategic initiatives. Prior to his time on the Board, he served as the Future Facilities Chair and as a delegate to HRCA.

Jeff is married to Debbie Wasden, and they have a wonderful daughter Avery and one son, Jordan. When not actively politicking on important business issues, he enjoys golf, tennis, and riding his road bike.
